The Best Physical Therapist in Austell, Georgia!!!

Updated: Apr 10, 2023

I am not good at talking about myself. But then I think, what the heck, I’ve worked really hard to get to where I am and be able to help others in such a great way! And, as I tell my husband all the time, I’m the best doctor you’ll ever meet! I take pride in my God-given talents to understand the body and how He created it to move. I also find it comes naturally to educate others in a way that they can understand to make the greatest impact in their lives. As for my mobile physical therapy practice, I utilize the skills and abilities God gave me to share it with others in my community to help them function without pain, maximize their abilities, and enhance their performance on the court. I use a one-on-one approach to care by assessing each person and determining what deficits could be playing into their pain or inability to accomplish their goals and incorporate sport-specific movements and training to help you get to where you want to be. I’m going to dive into more about each of these aspects of my business below.

One-On-One Care

I opened my own mobile practice because I want to focus my care on one person at a time. During the many years of working in outpatient clinics where I was expected to see 20 people each day, I realized how little attention I could give each person during their hour-long sessions. It was my goal to provide each client with an hour of my attention in hopes of getting them better faster and being able to physically work with them as much as is necessary to help each person meet their goals.

All of that being said, I do offer small group and team training for those that are interested. Mostly, this style is used to work as a group on injury prevention strategies and general conditioning to enhance performance. Group and team training pricing is determined on a case-by-case basis depending on what the team is needing. The options are endless, as I like to say.

Individualized Plan of Care to Meet Your Goals

Each person that I work with will receive an assessment to determine where the deficits lie that may be playing into your pain or inability to progress in a skill. Depending upon these results, I create an individualized plan of care for you to work on these deficits and make gains to meet your goals. Visit my post "What is a PT Plan of Care & Why is it Important?" to get a better idea of why an individualized plan of care is so important.

During each treatment session, we will break down movements to increase flexibility, range of motion, and strength depending on the results of your assessment. The most important part is that you will be able to perform each movement with correct posture and technique before moving into more sport-specific activities.

Sport-Specific Movements to Train in Game-Like Scenarios

It’s all fun and games to strengthen your muscles and have more mobility, but if you don’t know how to utilize these muscles and ranges of motion while performing your sport or activity then they aren’t doing you much good. So, once you have achieved the mobility and strength that you need through specific exercises the next step is using them with activities and exercises that resemble movements you complete in your sport.

First we start by slowing the movements down and focusing on technique and muscle control and then we progress to quicker movements and attempts at game-like situations. As long as you can complete these activities without pain and with proper technique, then you are ready to get back out there and killing it on the court!

There are also options for maintenance and continued strengthening and conditioning to prevent injuries and continue to make gains towards your goals which can be discussed as you progress through your plan of care initially established for you after the assessment.

So, Are You Ready?

Are you ready to address your pain that is keeping you from the things you want to do in life? Are you ready to progress your skills to enhance your performance? Are you ready to address any deficits you have to maximize your potential?

The first step is scheduling a No-charge phone consultation so that we can discuss what you have going on and make sure we are a good fit. You can schedule your consultation by clicking here.

Let’s get started and get you to where you want to be!
